BitCore BTX is a cryptocurrency that originated as a UTXO fork of Bitcoin, creating an entirely new blockchain rather than simply splitting an existing one. Launched in April 2017, BitCore distinguishes itself through faster block times, 10 MB SegWit-enabled blocks, and the MEGA algorithm designed to resist ASIC mining, keeping participation more accessible to everyday miners. The network supports both proof-of-work mining and Masternodes, offering multiple ways to participate. BitCore also addressed Bitcoin's scalability concerns, enabling significantly higher transaction throughput while maintaining a smaller overall blockchain footprint.
