About Clams
"Clams (CLAM) is a cryptocurrency that emerged from a unique airdrop-style distribution in 2014, rewarding holders of Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin based on a snapshot of those blockchains. Each qualifying address received an initial allocation of CLAMs, a process referred to as ""digging."" Unlike many cryptocurrencies, Clams skipped a Proof-of-Work mining phase entirely, securing its network through Proof-of-Stake consensus instead. This approach positioned Clams as an energy-efficient alternative from launch. The project operates as an independent peer-to-peer digital currency with its own blockchain, drawing an established user base from three major cryptocurrency communities."
