About Energy Web Token

Energy Web Token (EWT) is the native utility token of the Energy Web decentralized platform, launched in 2019 to serve the clean energy and sustainability sector. It secures and operates two core layers: Energy Web X, a nominated proof-of-stake blockchain, and a Verified Compute Cloud for off-chain business logic. EWT circulates as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and is bridged to the Energy Web X network. Notably, EWT was included in the ESMA register in 2025 for MiCA compliance, positioning it as a regulated digital infrastructure token within European energy markets.
