Flare (FLR) is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain designed for building applications that are interoperable with other blockchains and the internet. Unlike typical smart contract platforms, Flare integrates decentralized data infrastructure natively into the network itself. Its two core protocols, the Flare Time Series Oracle and the State Connector, deliver reliable price feeds and external data to smart contracts without relying on centralized providers. FLR serves as the native token for transaction fees, staking, and validator participation. Wrapping FLR into WFLR enables delegation, governance, and use across decentralized applications built on the Flare ecosystem.
