FTX Token (FTT) is the native utility token of the now-defunct FTX cryptocurrency exchange, launched in 2019. It was designed to offer holders trading fee discounts, collateral benefits, and participation in periodic token burns on the FTX platform. FTT operated on the BNB Beacon Chain using the BEP2 standard. The token became widely known following the dramatic collapse of FTX in November 2022, when the exchange filed for bankruptcy amid a liquidity crisis and allegations of misuse of customer funds, making FTT a significant case study in crypto market risk.
