Holo HOT is a distributed hosting platform built on Holochain, a post-blockchain framework designed for decentralized applications. Unlike traditional blockchains, Holochain uses an agent-centric model where each user maintains their own cryptographic chain rather than relying on global consensus, enabling greater scalability and energy efficiency. HOT tokens act as a bridge currency, allowing users to pay for hosting on the Holo network. Founded by Arthur Brock and Eric Harris-Braun, the project prioritizes user data sovereignty and aims to shift control of online experiences away from centralized corporate platforms.
