About Iota

IOTA (IOTA) is a distributed ledger technology designed specifically for the Internet of Things. Unlike traditional blockchains, IOTA uses a directed acyclic graph structure called the Tangle, which enables feeless transactions and scales more efficiently as network activity increases. This architecture makes it well suited for machine-to-machine communication and microtransactions between connected devices. IOTA targets industries such as smart manufacturing, mobility, and supply chain management. The project is developed by the IOTA Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to establish open standards for a machine economy built on decentralized infrastructure.
