About Mina

Mina (MINA) is a layer-1 blockchain designed to remain lightweight and accessible regardless of how much the network grows. Unlike traditional blockchains that expand in size over time, Mina maintains a constant proof size of around 22 kilobytes through the use of recursive zero-knowledge proofs called zk-SNARKs. This design allows anyone to verify the entire chain without downloading large amounts of data. Mina also supports Snapps, privacy-preserving smart contracts built on zero-knowledge technology, enabling secure interactions between blockchain applications and real-world data while keeping user information protected.
