About Nervos Network

Nervos Network (CKB) is a layered blockchain protocol designed to function as a decentralized crypto-economy infrastructure. Its architecture separates the network into two distinct layers: a layer 1 blockchain called the Common Knowledge Base, which serves as a trust root and secure store of assets, and a layer 2 focused on high-performance transactions and privacy. CKB uses a Proof of Work consensus mechanism and supports smart contracts through a flexible virtual machine. The network is built to custody assets, identities, and common knowledge in a public, permissionless, and censorship-resistant environment.
