PIVX (PIVX) is a decentralized, open-source blockchain and cryptocurrency project launched in 2016 with no ICO or premine. It operates on a Proof of Stake consensus mechanism, distinguishing itself through strong user data protection via SHIELD, a privacy protocol built on zk-SNARKs Sapling technology integrated directly into staking and transactions. PIVX is governed by a community-driven DAO and features a two-tier Masternode network that handles decentralized voting and governance.
