Spacecoin (SPACE) is a satellite-based decentralized internet network built on Ethereum. It operates a constellation of blockchain-enabled small satellites in low-Earth orbit, designed to deliver permissionless global connectivity without relying on traditional infrastructure like cell towers or fiber-optic cables. The project targets underserved regions including Nigeria, Indonesia, and India, aiming to offer affordable access for as little as one to two dollars per month. Anyone can contribute satellites to the open network. With its first satellite launched in December 2024, Spacecoin bridges physical space infrastructure with decentralized blockchain technology to expand internet access worldwide.
