About Threshold

Threshold (T) is a decentralized cryptography protocol formed through the merger of the NuCypher and Keep networks on Ethereum. It provides threshold cryptography services to the web3 ecosystem, distributing sensitive operations across a network of independent nodes so that no single party holds control. A minimum number of nodes must cooperate for any operation to succeed, eliminating centralized trust. Threshold supports use cases including proxy re-encryption and decentralized Bitcoin bridging through tBTC, making digital assets more private, secure, and accessible without relying on intermediaries.
