Bitget Token (BGB) is the native cryptocurrency of the Bitget ecosystem, originally launched in 2021 as the platform token for the Bitget exchange and Bitget Wallet. Following a strategic partnership with Morph in 2025, BGB transitioned into the gas and governance token of the Morph blockchain, a consumer-focused Ethereum layer 2 network. BGB holders benefit from fee discounts, participation in Launchpool token mining, and on-chain governance rights. The token operates on Ethereum's ERC-20 standard and is progressively migrating to the Morph chain, with a long-term burn mechanism tied to network activity.
