About Feathercoin
Feathercoin (FTC) is an open source cryptocurrency forked from Litecoin in April 2013 by Peter Bushnell, then head of IT at Oxford University's Brasenose College. Built on the Litecoin protocol, it was designed to be a faster, more secure, and stable alternative to Bitcoin. Feathercoin uses the NeoScrypt proof-of-work hashing algorithm, which is more memory-intensive than traditional algorithms, making ASIC mining impractical and keeping the network accessible to CPU and GPU miners. Wallets are available across Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows, supporting a broad and accessible user ecosystem.
