Loom Network (LOOM) is a Layer 2 scaling solution built on Ethereum, designed to power blockchain-based games and decentralized applications. It operates through a network of Delegated Proof of Stake sidechains, enabling high throughput and scalability while remaining backed by Ethereum's security. Often described as EOS on Ethereum, Loom combines the performance of alternative platforms with Ethereum compatibility. The network incorporates Plasma Cash technology, allowing Ethereum-based tokens to move across sidechains securely. Loom has been live in production since 2018, making it one of the earlier established Layer 2 infrastructure projects in the Ethereum ecosystem.
