Loopring (LRC) is a decentralized exchange protocol built on Ethereum using zkRollup, a Layer-2 scaling solution that moves computations off-chain while retaining Ethereum's security. It supports both automated market maker and order book trading models, processing thousands of trades per second at a fraction of typical on-chain costs. This performance level makes algorithmic and high-frequency trading viable on a non-custodial platform for the first time. LRC is the native token used for staking, governance, and fee payments within the Loopring ecosystem.
